MAD Fabrics is more than a fabric store – it is an education hub. Individual lessons and group classes will facilitate confidence and curiosity, with topics covering a wide range of skillsets and interests.  

Fabric and notion ranges will consist of modern, recovered, vintage, and eco-friendly. Be sure to check the website often, as we plan to source unique vintage and recovered pieces! MAD strikes a balance between apparel, craft, and quilt merchandise, all of which can be used during lessons or in group classes!  

We hope to cultivate a unique and exciting selection of merchandise that will appeal to all skill levels. We look forward to serving, teaching, and collaborating in the community (digital and otherwise!) and can’t wait to meet you! 

Meet the MAD Hatter (just kidding!)

Hi, friends! My name is Rachael and I am the owner of MAD Fabrics + Studio, LLC! The name MAD was chosen as a tribute to my Grandma (it’s her initials!) who taught me to sew at a young age (we aren't really mad here!). I am excited to bring the same passion for sewing and education that my Grandma had to my own community! I come from a long line of sewists and have been consistently sewing since 2020, mostly focusing on garments and crafts. As I grew in my sewing, I found myself searching online for tutorials and help as there were not many in-person classes in my area. I've always loved teaching, but I just couldn't bring myself to pursue my business dream....that is until Joann closed (RIP). In the middle of crafter chaos, I decided now was the time to try this dream - teaching and running a small online fabric store! I can't wait to bring innovative, exciting classes to Dekalb County.
