Basic Sewing Machine Service

We are excited to partner with an independent service technician in 2026! 
We are offering basic machine cleanings and tune-ups, as well as antique and vintage sewing machine functional restoration.

Our service offerings are independent. We are not an authorized service shop associated with any brand. We do not do proprietary warranty work – that will need to be done through an authorized brand dealer.

At this time, we are unable to provide services related to electrical rewiring, computer programming, or electric motor repair.

We specialize in servicing vintage machines. We do not service embroidery machines, long arms, or industrial machines currently.

Quick Fix/Troubleshoot - $15 + in-stock parts, if necessary

  • This service is meant to diagnose, troubleshoot, and attempt to resolve the machine issues quickly. Your machine will not be fully cleaned, lubricated, and no timing adjustments, chemical cleanings, or other complex procedures will be done. If lint or thread build up is part of the issue, it will be removed, but we will not perform full-service cleaning. Most machines will be functioning and ready to sew again with this service, and we will make every attempt to get your machine sewing again while you wait.
  • Issue may be referred to a Specific Issue service.
  • If you aren't sure what your machine needs - start with this service!
  • $15 fee is non-refundable and paid when booking an appointment. If parts are needed, this will be communicated and charged at pick-up.

Specific Issue - $50 + parts

  • Escalation from quick fix when an issue needs more time to be addressed.
  • Quick fix fee deducted from final fee.
  • Any part costs will be communicated prior to servicing. 

Basic Cleaning - $40

  • This is for a machine that is already in working order.
  • Cleaning inside and out, removal of lint and old oil/grease, new oil, new needle, tension adjustments as necessary.
  • No appointment needed. Machine drop off can be done during open public shopping hours (Wednesdays 6p-9p or on the open shopping weekends - see Event Calendar for weekend shopping dates).
    • Please bring the following with your machine:
      • Power Cord
      • Foot Pedal
      • Bobbin
      • Open-toe Presser Foot 

Cleaning is recommended at least twice a year to keep your machine in good working order. Think of it like an oil change for your car!

If your machine has sat for months without use, we recommend having it cleaned prior to restarting operation. 

Featherweight Cleaning - $40

  • This is for Featherweight machines already in working order.
  • Cleaning inside and out, removal of lint and old oil/grease, new oil, new needle, tension adjustments as necessary.
  • No appointment needed. Machine drop off can be done during open public shopping hours (Wednesdays 6p-9p or on the open shopping weekends - see Event Calendar for weekend shopping dates).
    • Please bring the following with your machine:

Antique & Vintage Functional Restoration

  • For individuals who have a vintage machine they would like looked at. Condition will dictate if Brianne is able to get it running.
    • No motor repair at this time.
  • This is not decal or paint restoration.
  • No treadle cabinets, only machine head.
