Machine Hemming Lesson

This class will cover basic machine hemming for pants, skirts, or shirts. We will cover how to determine a hem length, the best hem for fabric, and the blind hem foot. Attendees will be able to practice different hems. Feel free to bring a garment if you have questions on how to hem it. Ages 18+.

Attendees can bring their own sewing machines, or sewing machine rental will be available (Brother CS7000x Computerized sewing and quilting machines) for an extra $10.

Sewing Skills to be successful in this class:
-Speed and fabric control
-Straight stitch
-Threading a needle
-Winding and installing a bobbin

Personal Machine Usage - You will need:
-Thread (any color is fine)
-80/12 needle 
-Wound Bobbin for your machine
-Blind hem foot

Included in Studio Machine Rental:
-Thread for machine
-Needle for machine
-Blind hem foot

Fabric samples are included in the price of class for hem practice.

The studio will have pins, clips, scissors, irons, and marking tools available for use during class. Please bring your own rotary cutters or clear rulers, if desired.

For children attending the class under the age of 14, an adult guardian must be present for the entirety of the class.
